Escalator Steps Main Parameters

Step Depth: This refers to the depth of the step tread, the part where passengers’ feet make contact. To ensure passenger stability, the size must be greater than 380mm.

Step Width: Commonly available in dimensions of 600, 800, and 1000mm.

Step Base Distance: the distance between the main wheel and auxiliary wheel, ranging from 310 to 350mm.

Gauge: The distance between the two main wheels in the steps.

Step Spacing: Range of 400 to 405mm.

Escalator steps are mainly divided into aluminum alloy and stainless steel from the material. Stainless steel steps are black in appearance, and aluminum alloy steps are silver in appearance.
