The comb plate is a safety protection device of the escalator, located at the entrance and exit of the steps or treads, which is engaged with the steps or treads for the convenience of the passengers’ up and down transitions. The back of the comb plate has a microswitch that can stop the elevator if a foreign object gets stuck. One side of the comb plate is supported on the leading edge plate and the other side serves as the fixing surface for the comb, which has a horizontal inclination of <10°.
The structure of the escalator comb plate should be adjustable to ensure that the meshing depth of the comb is ≥6mm, and the material is aluminum alloy or steel plate.
