Escalator Steps Main Parameters

Step Depth: This refers to the depth of the step tread, the part where passengers’ feet make contact. To ensure passenger stability, the size must be greater than 380mm.

Step Width: Commonly available in dimensions of 600, 800, and 1000mm.

Step Base Distance: the distance between the main wheel and auxiliary wheel, ranging from 310 to 350mm.

Gauge: The distance between the two main wheels in the steps.

Step Spacing: Range of 400 to 405mm.
